Welcome to my web page. this is my second endeavor into the world of web design, but my first page was done at a school where they edited for content and they didn't like the fact that I was a Wiccan, I liked KoRn, and I listened to anti-establishment bands like Rage Against The Machine. They kept on saying they would put up my webpage, but never did. Such coincidence. No matter, I graduated from that school (Class of '99 Rules!) and I no longer have to put up with crap like that. I moved out of the little town of Ayer, Massachusetts and now reside in Providence Rhode Island. I love it here. I am currently getting a job at Radio Shack, doing fun stuff with my room mates, and saving cash to go to URI and get a double major in computers, and performing arts.
Here are some pictures of me taken at providence by my room mate sissy.
Here are some pictures of me before my trip to King Richard's Faire. (Yes I'm a renfaire nerd!!)
Now for a little more on the subject of my high school. I had a friend (yes hold your ooohhh's and aaaaahhhh's) who happened to like KoRn just as much as I did. Her name is Danielle And we would often sit together and talk about how much we hated the jocks and the preps who thought they were sooooo much better than us. We both loved to express our feelings in poems and half-finished songs arranged without notes. We would share these with each other and bask in our hatred for the isolators of all people different.
Well, one day, fate would turn its ugly head and two poseurs from Littleton Colorado would open fire on a school. They were immediately label and singled out by the media, bringing publicity to a normal group of kids in school (pardon the pun, they are anything but normal, which is a good thing in some cases). The Trenchcoat Mafia became a household fixture in American Society and came to embody all things having to do with the Gothic Subculture, Heavy Metal, guns, mass murder, and all those happy wholesome values.
They were plastered on the cover of Time Magazine, thus reinforcing the fact that the media will do anything to glorify someone, no matter what their ilk may be. They are vampires in every sense of the word, and will stop at nothing to gain a little publicity.
Now how this relates to my story is quite significant, unfortunately. one day, Danielle wrote a poem entitled "people who should die" mind you, I never saw the poem in question, but Danielle is a very reliable source. It was a poem containing names of the people that we hated for singling us out as the brunt of their jokes, taunts, and teases.
You'll have to excuse the interruption, but it is with good cause that I stop to give you something completely different. to give you an example of the tauntings of the others in question, here is a small story:
One day I was talking about Wicca with a friend of mine in Graphic Design. We were both thinking of practicing full time, and discussing the aspects of this when I was inturrtepd much the way you were now, except it was much ruder and the sound was a lot more annoying. It was the voice of a soccer/baseball player named Robbie. Robbie seems to think that sarcasm is the key to achieving anything funny. He asked with mock interest what Wicca is. I took a deep mental breath to calm myself and explained to him that it is known in more common terms as witchcraft. He then started making many comments, of which I cannot remember now, but were definitely made to get me upset.
The taunting went on for weeks. Then it all escalated to threats and times and places to meet. But nothing ever happened until the day of the annual pep rally. I was sitting high up in the senior section enjoying myself and as the people were filing in, who should happen to look me right in the face but dear old Robbie. Mind you, until this point I had used my better judgement to keep myself from doing anything stupid magic wise and physical wise. But he had to go and open his insolent little mouth and make a comment. We exchanged words back and forth and he decided to turn around after sitting down and make a motion with his fist. Now wherever he goes, his girlfriend goes with him. Tracy is her name, I believe. Even at graduation they sat together, even though no one else was allowed to sit with their loved ones. And they didn't have last names even close to each other, so it couldn't be brushed off as coincidence.
Well, anyway, Tracy said to forget about it and enjoy the pep rally. He gave me one last look and sat back down. At that point I had had it. I took all of the negative energy that I had ever felt for him and focused it into the back of his neck as a sheer lance. For about half of the pep rally I did this, concentrating on every word of hate he said to me and how much it stabbed me. I double the stabs with the mere thought of such things. I never spoke a word to him after that and not long after the events, he fractured a bone in his ankle playing soccer. From that day forth he never said anything, although to this day I still wonder if the respect he showed was actually genuine.
Now back to the story.
Somehow, someone got a hold of the poem and it was sent to the superintendant's office. All the parents of the students were notified, which was the first mistake. Second, there was a faculty meeting and they all decided unanimously to expell Danielle from the school. Let me tell you what led to this decision.
My curse is that I am nice to too many people and have too many friends. (only in this case, mind you I was not the most popular person in the school. I just socialized with many people.) Another friend of mine was at ends with another friend of mine. Joe was a good friend who took to heart my writings as potential lyrics. Nate was a friend of mine who I hung out with often and listened to music with/ watched movies with/ and did what most people did in a small town during their high school years. Danielle used to go out with Joe and they broke up. She then started dating Nate.
For what ever reason, Joe took to making fun of Nate. I tried to get them to settle their differences, but all to no avail. After the whole Poem incident, Joe decided to say that Nate's mother was carrying guns in the back of her car and teaching Nate and Danielle how to use them for protection. There was a big court battle and Nate's mother ended up being drained in many aspects because of it. I'm not going to take sides, because Joe was a good friend of mine before Nate was. But I'm not going to say it was right in his defense. Everyone makes mistakes. I understand that.
So, to make matters worse, The superintendant of schools then decided that she could no longer attend Massachusetts Public Schools and would have to graduate in another state. Everything was fine though. Danielle was still seeing Nate and I until Joe had to go say what he said. After what happened in court, it acted as the domino and caused the town to fall down on top of each other.
You have to realize that town we are talking about is one of the smallest in the state of Massachusetts. Ayer has a mildly small population and if you blink while going through the downtown area, you'll miss it. Thus, many of the people on the list had parents who were high-society and held sway in the town. They called a Town council meeting and all voted that she be moved from the town. That ruined all the plans.
Danielle was going to attend schools in New Hampshire and graduate, but after that she was froced to move out of the town. They ruled her "unsafe in the town" and felt threatened by her. Now here's a little bit of information to put this all into perspective. Danielle had tired to kill herself numerous times before. SHe said the day she left and I quote: "I couldn't kill myself, much less anyone else".
What does that say for the townspeople, other than they are a bunch of PUSSIES! I lost one of my best friends all because of the insecurties of others. Because one of my friends turned against her. but you know what? I don't hate Joe. I know that what he did was wrong, but I can forgive him.
But you want to know what really pissed me off? every year the seniors pick a spot on the walls of the high school as a mural for the class. We had a picture of doves flying off into the distance. Each graduate got to sign a dove. at the graduation party at the school, we all got to trade year books and sign the mural. I put my signature, a pentacle, The KoRn logo and these words. "I Will Reclaim My Place" "Good Bye Danielle, I love you" and "Faget" and "Divine", my two favorite KoRn songs. on graduation day, I went back to show a friend, and the only things that were left were the pentacle, the word Divine above the pentacle, and my signature. When I asked the guidance councelor what the deal was he said that the other students didn't want her name on the wall. So you know what I did, I took out a ball point pen right there and wrote the words on my Graduation Cap. There was nothing anyone could do about it. That and this website is my revenge to all of the people of the town of Ayer and the faculty of Ayer High School
